laborers needed

Yea! G-Love, who knows everything about paint but doesn't like to paint, has finally given me the thumbs up to gather a group of friends and paint the bedroom myself. (The terra cotta walls with my lovely brown and blue comforter is just not workin' for me.) So, when the stomach virus is gone from our house and I have the paint in hand, do I have any takers? Anyone willing to paint with a friend?

Anyone?... Anyone?....

I'll bring a snack and a doo rag for my hair.

PS... the children are singing Sunday; your baby knows the songs already.

Hey, Laura!

I am so glad to hear that you liked Ireland. Did it pull at your heart, like somewhere where you knew that you needed to be? That is how I was about Bethany College of Missions, and England. I had no choice, it was made for me. It satisfies longings that I have had since a child. Also, selfishly, I want you across the pond so we can come visit you. Paul, Christopher and Peter would love to come to see you! We are thinking and praying for you! Dana

Dana,
I'm hoping you'll check these comments again, so you'll get my response. (Send me your e-mail address, ok?) Yes, Ireland pulled at my heart; at the same time (considering the church planting assessment results from 1 1/2 years ago), we are hesitant to give too much of our hearts. Maybe a better way to say it is this: Together, we've determined that we're called and committed to laying down our lives for the gospel. Right now, it looks like Ireland could be the place where we're called to do that. We bonded immediately with the team there, were moved by the overwhelming need for the gospel there, are excited about the specific work of the team, and were astounded at the grace God gave us to function in this foreign culture as we contemplated selling our house, leaving Community and taking our children there. HOWEVER, we aren't yet approved by WHM, and there are many barriers that He would have to break to get us to Europe. So there's the possibility that God has brought us down this path to bring about surrender, and that he'll turn us in another direction for ministry. So we're trying to be open to whatever God does. We've basically told Him we'll walk through any door He opens, and we're trying our best not to put specifications on what we'll do and where we'll go. That being said, I am drawn to the Irish people, to the need for the gospel there, to the missionaries we met, to the values/vision of World Harvest, etc., and I have to make aneffort not to let my heart long too much for a certain outcome.

You've been on my mind so much more as we've been going through this process. I'm praying for you and am so glad to hear from you. Please let me know all about how you're doing and how I can pray for you; I'll keep you posted on our progress.

Oh, and the Morgans think it would be INCREDIBLE to be so close to the Jennings and the Donahoos -- could God be any more good?

Blessings, sweet friend.
