What beautiful pictures! I too, enjoy gardening. Like Steve, I like perennials...they are like friends that come to visit every year. Maybe next Spring when it's time to split perennials we can plan a plant swap. May I recommend a Lady Bank rose.
Gosh, those are beautiful. I like container gardening too. Do you know that more and more people in the suburbs are planting their own food? Because of the rising price of groceries. I think it's such a cool idea. I saw it on Dateline I think. I'm a big fan of Gardenias and knock out roses. Mainly because they are so easy to grow and I have a brown thumb. Great pictures, they made me smile.
Your Irises are splendid. I have some red, black, dark orange, Bettye Irene and Carolina purple (deep, dark purple) which is my first hybrid. I will share any with you. I love your flowers. Working in the Garden is ranked in the United Kingdom by 51 percent as their favorite hobby...I bet Ireland, too. I wish I had your flair with pots. I do better with beds. At church our kneeling cushions in front of the communion rail are different flowers... mostly irises. That certainly makes it easier on the knees! I feel so fortunate that you and I were raised in a family with loving grandparents who taught us to garden. I guess you get your container fever from Mimi. Your loving brother
